Majella
(Burlesque)
Following a lifelong passion of having a boogie, self-proclaimed ‘dance-floor enthusiast’ Majella began learning dance as an adult which was spurred on by dancing tragically being temporarily banned in 2020.
She attended multiple dance classes in Adelaide including latin (salsa, bachata), burlesque and Zumba classes - and more recently hip-hop dance and pole in Port Lincoln. Majella started pole dance in 2023 with Mia at HoS as another form of dance - and had so much fun she thought she’d keep doing it!
Majella first experienced burlesque in 2022 and has since gone back time and time again for more - learning from brilliant dancers including Evana de Lune, Vivienne Von Coffin and the team at Maison Burlesque. She has recently been teaching herself to use silk fans (as seen at the last HoS showcase!).
Majella has hosted recent burlesque workshops at Haus of Salem and will be teaching burlesque classes this year. She loves getting creative with costumes & glitter, and can never resist a good laugh!
